Blackwood, N.J. - The Camden County College Cougars baseball team defeated the Rowan College of Burlington County Barons this afternoon by a score of 9-0. This was the Cougars 9th consecutive victory.
Freshman starting pitcher, Christopher Maldonado, picks up his 4th win of the season. Maldonado threw 6 innings, allowed only one hit, and struck out 5 Baron hitters. The Cougars then turned to their bullpen as freshman Frank Pagano, Spencer Sklivas, and John Archer each threw a scoreless inning to complete the 9 inning shutout.
The Cougars offense found ways to manufacture runs throughout the game. Freshman middle infielder, Ryan Swift, went 1-2 on the with 3 walks, 2 runs batted in and a run scored. Sophomore Catcher, Jim Sayles, went 1-1 with a double, a run batted in, 2 walks and was hit by a pitch.
The Cougars now enjoy two days off before heading into the weekend for the 3 game Garden State Athletic Conference series against #1 nationally ranked Cumberland County College. GO COUGARS
