Cougars Baseball Players in National Rankings
The Cougars Baseball Team has had success this season and individuals are ranked in the Nation!
With nine games remaining in the regular season and a playoff spot clinched in the NJCAA Region XIX Tournament, the Cougars are looking to finish out strong and hopefully get a high seed in the playoffs. Some individuals have shined this season thus far.
At the Plate:
FR. MINF Ryan Swift leads the nation in walks with 35.
SO. INF Dom Lopez is tied for 32nd with 35 RBI's.
SO. OF Matt Jefferson is 5th in stolen bases with 21.
SO. OF Hunter Brelsford and FR. OF Robin Santos are each tied for 30th with 12 stolen bases.
On the Mound:
FR. P/INF Chris Maldonado is 21st with a 2.27 ERA, Tied for 13th with 5 wins and tied for 25th with 49 K's.
FR. P Chris Garwood is 46th with a 3.20 ERA and tied for 4th with 6 wins.
SO. P Peter Berenato is tied for 22nd with 51 K's.
SO. P Robert Girgenti is tied for 38th with 45 K's.
FR. P John Archer is tied for 49th with 42 K's.
As a Team the Cougars are 9th in the Nation with 306 runs scored, 41st with 8 HR's and 50th with a team batting average of .291. Overall as of April 25th the team is 25-13.
