The Cougars finish the regular season 30-16. This is the first time the Cougars have a had a 30 win season since 2013. Coach Merkh had this to say about the season. "It's really been an impressive year. We have a young team with a lot of talent. We got bit by the injury bug this season having more injuries than you can count on one hand. However, guys really stepped up to the plate when opportunities have opened and made the most of them. It's a great sign moving forward but it's not over yet. These guys are looking to make some noise in playoffs and get to our first Region XIX final four since 2013. That's been the goal since day 1. Once you get there....anything can happen."
The Cougars now wait for the final Region XIX contests to wrap up today and find out what seed they draw in the playoffs. The playoffs will start this Saturday. Location will be determined by the seed the Cougars draw. GO COUGARS!
