Judge Sends it to OT and Cougars Win!

On Thursday night, the Cougars traveled down Route 55 to face the Dukes of RCSJ-Cumberland and looked to complete the season sweep of the Dukes and clinch a postseason berth. Throughout most of the game the Cougars trailed the Dukes. The Cougars clawed throughout and with under a minute to go and down by 3 Freshman guard Tyshon Judge hit a deep three pointer to tie the game at 65-65 and send it to overtime. With some big free throws during OT the Cougars prevailed 74-70. Tyshon Judge led the Cougars with 24 points on 8-15 shooting while grabbing 8 rebounds and 3 assists. Sophomore Wendell Wright had a season high 16 points on 8-11 shooting. Freshman forward Hunter Blessing scored 11 points while obtaining 3 steals.

Up next for the Cougars will be a ride north on Saturday to face the Skylanders of Sussex CCC and then another north road trip on Sunday for a makeup game with the Owls of Union CC.
