Lady Cougar Players in National Rankings
The Lady Cougars Softball Team has clinched a playoff spot in this years NJCAA Region XIX Tournament thanks to many individuals who are ranked in individual statistics in the nation.
As of April 25th the Lady Cougars have locked up a playoff berth thanks to a DH sweep of Northampton Community College on Saturday, April 21st. On Sunday, April 22nd the team split with Nationally ranked Lehigh Carbon CC in a Region XIX Battle of the Cougars. Then on Tuesday, April 24th the Ladies split with the Seahawks of Cecil Community College to improve to 12-15 Overall and 10-6 in Region XIX. The success this year has come thanks in part to individuals performing at a high level.
On the Mound:
SO. P/OF Angel Benjamin is 41st in the nation with a 4.20 ERA
At the Plate:
SO. MINF Danielle Cutrera is ranked 8th with 18 stolen bases.
SO. C/UTL Savannah Bittner is tied for 13th with 13 stolen bases.
FR. P/OF Alexis Harding is tied for 18th with 12 stolen bases.
FR. INF/P Bri Kasprzak is tied for 25th with 11 stolen bases.
As a team the Lady Cougars are ranked 23rd in runs scored with 129 and 30th in team batting average with .344.
The Lady Cougars have 4 games remaining in the regular season, 2 against Montgomery CCC, PA and 2 against the Nationally ranked Jersey Blues of Brookdale Community College.
