The Lady Cougars started off 2019 season bring out the brooms against Suny-Broome. In Game 1 the Lady Cougars won the game 7-4 and then in Game 2 the offense came alive scoring 13 runs to down Suny-Broome 13-6. The Lady Cougars received stellar pithing in both games and timely offense when needed. On the day Freshman Pitcher Samantha Torres threw 8 innings giving up only 2 earned runs while striking out 3. At the plate Sophomore Zoe Sneddon went 5-7 at the plate with 2 doubles, 4 rbi's, 4 runs and 2 stolen bases. Freshman Emily Auletto was 4-8 with a double and triple, tallying 3 rbi's and 3 runs with a stolen base. Sophomore Kristen Cosgrove went 4-8 with 3 rbi's.
The Lady Cougars will be off until Thursday when the host The Lions of Raritan Valley in another double header with 1st pitch of game 1 slated for 3:30pm and then the Lady's will look forward to hopefully warm weather as they depart for Florida for Spring Training.
