100 Career Hits
In less than a week apart two Lady Cougar Softball players eclipsed the 100 career hits milestone!
On April 27th Sophomore Kristen Cosgrove collected her 100th career hit in a 21-0 win against Luzerne CCC. Kristen would go on to break the career hits record for the Softball Program which was held by Jill Faralli who graduated in 1995 and had 103 career hits. For Cosgrove's career she has played in 68 games and has collected 106 hits in 2017 at bats for a .512 lifetime average. Kristen has also scored 80 runs with 72 rbi's.
Only a few days later Sophomore Zoe Sneddon collected her 100th career hit against Bucks CCC. Zoe for her career has a.495 average with 73 rbi's and 59 runs in 68 games.
Zoe and Kristen will help anchor the offense for the Region XIX Tournament as the Lady Cougars received the 6th seed and will face off against Lehigh Carbon CC in the first round in a battle of the Cougars! The first round will take place Tuesday, May 7th at Lehigh Carbon with Game 1 starting at 3pm and it will be a 3 game series!
