CAMDEN COUNTY COLLEGE Men's Wrestling had an impressive show at NJCAA Championships. Shane Whitney ends his career as a 2x All-american and coach John Chillem has been named National COach of the year for non-scholarship division.
Joey Notte (133) went 2-2. Jason Cruz (125), Aidan Dick (165), Joseph Teguia (174), and John Stanton (197) all picked up 1 win each before elimination. Zach Hurst (141), David Barber (157) and Rotimi Animashaun (184) left it all on the mat despite 0-2 records.
Shane Whitney lost in the semis to Kawaun Debeo from Indian Hills 4-2. Shane beat Cody Pinkerton from Northwest College in the consi-semis 3-1, and in the 3rd place match he lost to Devon Dawson from Pratt by fall. He placed 4th and finishes his Camden County career as a 2x All American. Great job by our Men's wrestling team this year. They finished as NJAC champions, Region 19 and Gulf Atlantic champions, and top it off with a 4th place finish at nationals.
