Buchanan Leads Lady Cougars to Season Opening Victory

Thursday nights game for the Lady Cougars Soccer Team was a changing of the guard for the program. After 17 years there was a new face at the helm of the Lady Cougars Soccer Program with Solomon Jacob now the Head Coach. The Lady Cougars did not dissapoint for the new Head Coach in his debut as they downed the Lady Vikings 2-0 to open up the 2018 season. Leading the way for the Lady Cougars was Sophomore, Sarah Buchanan who found the back of the net both times for the Lady Cougars. Freshman, Goalie Skye Hunt in her first collegiate match made sure nothing touched the back of the net on her way to a 15 save shutout. Freshman, Kayla Walton finished with 1 assist in her first collegiate match.

The Lady Cougars will now gear up for a tremendous match up on Saturday as they travel to take on a very strong Jersey Blues team of Brookdale. Saturday's game will be on the road at Brookdale with a noon start. This will also be the first Conference and Region XIX match of the year.
