Lady Cougars Soccer Offense Explodes for 11 Goals

The Lady Cougars offense on Saturday exploded for 11 goals on the day as they went on to win the match against Bergen 11-0. Freshman Awa Dicko was awarded the shutout in net for the Lady Cougars. Filling that stat sheet for the Lady Cougars were Sophomore Kayla Walton and Freshman Vita Masaik who each found the back of the net 4 times. With the 4 goals for Walton that pushes her season total to 11 goals which ranks her 9th in the nation and 1st in Region XIX. The Lady Cougars also had 3 other goal scorers in Nina Verdecchio, Avery Buniak and Emily Kotarski. Buniak in addition to her goal had 3 assists. Freshman Deborah Baran tallied 2 assist and Shawnae Keith 1 assist.

The Lady Cougars improve to 2-2-1 on the year with their next match scheduled for Thursday on the road against the Vikings of Ocean CC.
