Nationals Update - Day 1
The Cougars are currently tied for first place with Oxford-Emery after advancing every singles and doubles position to the semi-finals, which will be played tomorrow.
1st Singles: Maddy Scambia won her first match vs FIT (Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC) 6-0,6-0. She will play Volk from RCSJ tomorrow.
2nd Singles: Bryn Kelleher won 6-1, 6-2 vs. Hudson Valley CC. She will play FIT tomorrow.
3rd Singles: Ana Ramos won 6-0, 6-0 against Hudson Valley and will play RCSJ in the semis.
4th Singles: Maddie Piontkowski won a close match vs College of Dupage but came out on top 6-3, 4-6, 6-2. She'll play FIT tomorrow.
5th Singles: Selena Guerrero received a bye in the first round and will play FIT in the semis.
6th Singles: Tiara Clyde received a bye in the first round and will play Mohawk Valley CC on Saturday.
In Doubles action:
1st Doubles: cambia/Kelleher won 6-1, 6-0 against Patrick and Henry CC in Illinois. They take on Hudson Valley CC in the semis tomorrow.
2nd Doubles: Ramos/Guerrero won a three-set battle against Mohawk Valley 6-1, 4-6, 6-1. They take on local rivals RCSJ tomorrow.
3rd Doubles: Piontkowski/Clyde received a bye in the first round today and take on FIT tomorrow.
