Lady Cougars take 1st Place!

The women's and men's 5k races were contested entirely in a steady rain storm. Despite the conditions, the Cougars did have some runners improve on their 5k times from prior weeks invitational.

The women's 5k race, the Cougars placed 5 runners in the top 12, to earn the team title. Freshmen Sara Loew led the way by finishing in 1st place with a time of 21:44. Autumn Baldini (fr.) 24:03* 5th, Betzabel A. Delos Santos Trinidad (fr.) 24:49* 10th, Emily Santana (fr.) 25:56* 11th, and Nicole Mattern (fr.) 26:18* 12th, completed the team scoring. The Cougars set out only 4 runners for the men's 5k, so they were not part of the team scoring for this weeks race.
