The Cougar cross country teams competed in the Osprey Open hosted by Stockton University on September 25, 2021. The meet featured Division III colleges and universities from Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New York, and New Jersey. The Lady Cougars were the only full junior college team to compete at the women's 6k distance.

Freshmen Rylie Mansfield lead the way with a 28:48 finishing in 61st place. Natalie Rehn (fr.) 30:08 placed 71st, Rita Alphonsus (fr.) 32:49 placed 74th, Elizabeth Santana (so.) 34:31 placed 77th, and Julia Koerner (fr.) 38:36 finished in 80th. The women's team placed 12th overall in the team standings.

The men's race had freshman Terah Smith 40:05 competing in the 8k distance for the first time, while placing 125th.
