Cougars are Region XIX Champions!
The Region XIX Championships were held Saturday October 30, 2021 at White Clay Creek State Park located in Newark, Delaware. In the women's 5k, the Lady Cougars had five finishers and were named 2021 Region XIX Champions.
Natalie Rehn, a freshmen from Haddon Heights High School, took the top honors, with a winning time of 24:25. She is the second Lady Cougar champion for the women's program in their nine year history, joining 2018 Sara Loew. Rylie Mansfield (fr.) Sterling High School placed 2nd in 25:11. Elizabeth Santana (so.) Cherry Hill West High School 26:39 placed 8th, Rita Alphonsus (fr.) Williamstown High School 28:18 placed 10th, and Julia Koerner (fr.) Overbrook High School 29:09* finished in 12th place. The men's 8k the Cougars had freshman Terah Smith finish in 35th place with a time of 40:49.
The last race of the season for the Lady Cougars will be in Milledgeville, Georgia on November 13, 2021. Georgia Military College will be the host site of the Division III Junior College National Championships.
