Lady Cougars Cross Country Runs to 10th Place at Nationals

Georgia Military College was the host for the men's and women's 2021 Division III National Championship race for the first time. The meet was attended by 47 junior college men's and women's teams. The races were held on a farm located approximately 15 miles outside of Milledgeville. The property is owned by the Council family, who graciously allowed the use of their land, free of charge to the NJCAA for the purpose of hosting the 2021 national championship cross country race.
The 13th ranked Lady Cougars sent out five runners to compete in the women's 5k national championship race. Natalie Rehn (fr.) lead the way finishing in 43rd place with a time of 24:30, Rita Alphonsus (fr.) placed 47th 24:55*, Elizabeth Santana (so.) placed 48th 24:56^, Rylie Mansfield (fr.) placed 60th 26:46, and Julia Koerner (fr.) placed 64th 31:17. Their effort earned the Lady Cougars a 10th place finish overall.
