Men's and Women's basketball Prepare for Region 19 Tournament
On February 21st Region 19 announced their D3 playoff brackets. Both Camden County College Men's and women's team made the playoffs this year.
The women's team is seeded 3rd in the tournament bracket finishing the regular season with a 14-7 overall record. Coach Chip team is lead by 1st team All-region guard Chloe Cargo. Chloe a freshman leads the team in points at 21.5 ppg which puts her 3rd in the country in scoring. Chloe is also 5th in the country in steals. Also leading the way for the Cougars is sophomore Kayla Franklin. Kayla was name 2nd team All-region she is the teams second leading scorer and leads the country in blocks. The cougars will take on Lehigh Carbon in the 3 vs 6 quarter final game at home on Tuesday February 27th at 5:30pm.
The Men's Basketball team was seeded 4th in the Region 19 tournament. The Cougars finished 18-10 overall. Coach Lou team is lead by freshman and 3rd team All-Region recipient Demere Hollingsworth. The freshman from Delaware lead the team in scoring, steals, and assist. The cougars will face Community College of Philadelphia in the 4vs 5 game. The game will be played at Camden County College on Tuesday February 27th at 7:30pm immediately after the women's playoff game.
