Stephen Hart to Usher in a New Era as Head Coach of the Women’s Soccer Program

Camden County College is thrilled to announce the return of Stephen Hart, a former Cougar and now accomplished coach. He now takes the reins as Head Coach of the Women's Soccer Program.
A former collegiate stand out for the Cougars under legendary Coach George Hobbins in the early 2000s, Hart's journey from player to coach exemplifies his enduring passion for the game and unwavering commitment to excellence.
Hart steps into his role with a bold vision: to elevate the women's soccer program to unprecedented heights. His return signifies a new era for the Cougars, focused on revitalizing the team's culture, fostering player development, and building a championship-caliber program.
"This is more than just a coaching opportunity for me—it's a homecoming," Hart said. "Camden County College shaped me as a player and a person. Now, I'm ready to give back and guide this program towards excellence. I'm confident we'll build something special here that will make the Cougar community proud."
With over 15 years of coaching experience, Hart brings a proven track record of success at every level. Most recently, as Head Coach of the Women's Program at RCSJ, Hart led the team to two consecutive Region XIX Finals, including a remarkable 2024 season where the Roadrunners finished ranked #5 in the nation. Before taking charge of the women's team, he served as an assistant coach for the RCSJ Men's Soccer Program from 2017 to 2021.
Beyond collegiate soccer, Hart has helped athletes achieve success on every stage, from rising youth talent to the U.S. National Team members. Since 2016, he has served as the Owner and Director of Jersey South FC, where he emphasizes a positive and supportive training environment that inspires players to reach their full potential. Hart has also guided many young athletes to achieve success at the collegiate level.
In addition, Hart's extensive coaching resume includes key roles across South Jersey soccer academies and clubs, such as: Director of Coaching & Player Development at Delran FC, Director of Coaching & Player Development at Barrington SC, Assistant Director at Universal Soccer Academy and NJ ODP Coaching Staff Member.
When asked about his goals for the Cougars, Hart expressed optimism and determination. "This program has a rich history of success, and I fully intend to honor that legacy while building a brighter future," he stated. "We're not just here to compete—we're here to set the standard. The challenges the program has faced over the past two years will only fuel our drive to succeed. I promise our players, alumni, and fans that this team will embody excellence on and off the field."
