After years of grit, grind, and growth, the Cougars baseball team is back. With a final regular-season record of 26-15, the Cougars have clinched a playoff berth for the first time in years, and they’re not just squeaking in — they’re charging in with momentum. The 2025 season has been one to remember. From clutch pitching to explosive offensive outbursts, the Cougars played a balanced, high-energy brand of baseball that kept fans on their feet all spring. But what truly set this squad apart was their relentless speed on the basepaths. The team shattered expectations — and possibly school records — by leading the entire country in stolen bases with an astonishing 291 swipes. Their aggressive base-running helped fuel an offense that put up 444 runs over the course of the season. While standout performances came from several players throughout the season, it was the team’s chemistry and unselfish play that made the difference. The Cougars consistently found ways to win close games, turn the tide with clutch hits, and create chaos on the basepaths that left opponents scrambling. Now, the Cougars turn their attention to the Region 19 playoffs, where they’ll take the field in a highly anticipated doubleheader on Saturday, May 10. If necessary, a deciding game will be played Sunday — a stage the Cougars have worked hard to reach. As they await official seeding, the team remains focused but excited. With their eyes on a regional title and confidence running high, the Cougars are ready to keep making history — one base, one pitch, one game at a time.

The Cougars (18-7) cruised to a solid 20-2 victory over Division II Mercer County College (24-9) in their midweek matchup. Right-handed pitcher Garrett Gordy secured the win, allowing just three hits and no runs. Left-handed reliever Joey Fanelli also delivered a stellar performance, pitching two hitless innings while striking out five. Offensively, Tyler Gavura led the charge, going 2-for-4 with a double, a triple, and five RBIs. Richie Burger also had a big game, going 2-for-4 with a double, three runs scored, and three stolen bases. The Cougars showcased aggressive baserunning, which played a key role in their dominant performance. Next up, the Cougars face conference rival Salem County College in a doubleheader on Sunday, with first pitch set for 12:00 PM.

Mike Faulls had an excellent week for the Camden County College baseball team and has been named this week's Pitcher of the Week for the GSAC. He went 2-0, pitching 12 innings while allowing only 1 run and recording 13 strikeouts.

The Cougars baseball team put on an offensive and defensive clinic over the weekend, sweeping Bergen County in dominant fashion, winning all three games while outscoring their opponent 48-6. Their aggressive baserunning was on full display as they swiped an astonishing 41 bases, highlighted by a standout performance from Ethan Arter swiping home. Arter led the charge on the basepaths, setting the tone for a Cougars squad that overwhelmed Bergen County with speed, power, and precision. The pitching staff also delivered, allowing just six runs across the three-game stretch, ensuring Bergen never had a chance to recover. Joseph Fanelli picked up his first collegiate win on Friday. Vinny Sangataldo and Mike Faulls picked up the wins during Saturday’s DH and moved their records to 4-0 and 5-1 respectively. This puts them in the top 5 in Region 19 overall for individual wins. With momentum on their side, the Cougars now turn their attention to a busy week ahead. They’ll take on Union County College in back-to-back matchups on Tuesday and Wednesday before facing Delaware County College in a three-game series this weekend. If this past weekend was any indication, the Cougars are locked in and ready to keep their winning ways going.

The Cougars baseball team secured a series win over Montgomery County Community College with dominant performances in the first two games before falling in the finale. In Game 1, the Cougars came out strong, cruising to a 13-1 victory behind a stellar complete-game pitching performance from Vinny Sangataldo. The offense backed him up with an explosive showing at the plate, overwhelming Montgomery early and never looking back. Game 2 saw another dominant outing on the mound, this time from Michael Faulls, who also went the distance in an 8-0shutout. The Cougars' pitching and defense held Montgomery in check, securing the series win on Saturday. However, Montgomery bounced back in Game 3, handing the Cougars a 12-8 loss. Despite the setback, the team’s strong performances in the first two games ensured a successful series. Next up, the Cougars will host Morris County College on Sunday, March 23, for a doubleheader. The first game is set to begin at 12 PM.

The Cougars Baseball team proved they can compete with the best, going toe-to-toe with nationally ranked No. 3 Brookdale Community College in a thrilling two-game series. Despite falling by just one run in each contest, the Cougars showcased an explosive offense and rock-solid defense, making a statement against one of the top teams in the country. The bats were on fire throughout the series, with clutch hitting keeping the Cougars in both games. Meanwhile, the defense was lights-out, making key plays to keep Brookdale’s powerful lineup in check. Though they came up just short, the team’s performance left no doubt—they belong on the field with the nation’s best. With momentum on their side, the Cougars now shift their focus to Montgomery County Community College for a home doubleheader on Saturday. They’ll follow that up with a single game against Montco at Villanova University on Monday, looking to build on their strong showing and turn close battles into victories.
