Smith For The Win!
Freshman Guard Keshon Smith has been on a tear this week for the Cougars averaging 31.3 ppg and helping the Cougars playoff hopes alive.
On Saturday, February 9th the Cougars traveled up north to face the Skylanders of Sussex County Community College. With the Cougars in a must win situation Freshman Guard Keshon Smith stepped up big for the Cougars with a 28 point effort and the game winning reverse layup to down the Skylanders 64-63. On the week in 3 games Smith has poured in two 33 point efforts. In a lose to Nationally ranked RCGC Smith finished with 33 points on 11-19 shooting. He followed up that game at home against Valley Forge MC with another 33 point performance on 13-20 shooting and a double-double pulling down 10 rebounds. on Saturday's win against Sussex Smith shot 12-23 from the field and finished with 28 points and the game winner.
The Cougars have 3 overall games left and 2 Region XIX Games left with Brookdale and Luzerne. With one more Region XIX win they will lock up a playoff berth. In addition the Cougars last home game will be this Thursday, February 14th against Manor College.
