Smith Named NJCAA Region XIX Player of the Year!

Sophomore Men's Basketball player Keshon Smith has been named the NJCAA Region XIX DIII Player of the Year and 1st Team All Region XIX. Keshon had a sensational 2 year career for the Cougars. In his Sophomore campaign Keshon played in 24 games making 23 starts on his way to totaling 534 total points for an average of 22.3 ppg which ranked him 15th in the country. in addition to his scoring Keshon also averaged 7.9 rpg, 4.9 apg and 2.6 spg. On February 13, 2020 Keshon scored 30 points against Nationally Ranked CCP in a lose but it was his first basket (a deep three pointer) that he eclipsed the 1,000 career point mark. Over the course of 2 seasons Smith played in 50 games making 48 starts and racked up 1,061 career points for a career average of 21.2 ppg. Over his 2 year career the Cougars went 32-22 making the playoff both years.
