Lady Cougars Offense Explodes!
In their first game back from Spring Training the Lady Cougars exploded to score 30 runs in 12 innings over the course of 2 games on Tuesday.

On Tuesday afternoon the Lady Cougars faced Dutchess Community College in a doubleheader. In game 1 the Lady Cougars trailed Dutchess 6-4 going into the bottom of the 5th inning. they were able to get a run across to make it 6-5 when Freshman Pitcher Samantha Torres came up to bat with 2 runners on. The Torres helped herself out by hitting a line drive single that scored 2 runs to give the Lady Cougars the lead for good as the went on to win game 1 7-6.
In game 2 of the day it wasn't so close, as the Lady Cougars exploded to score 24 runs on 10 hits and accumulating 21 walks. Sophomore Zoe Sneddon went 4-4 with a double and triple and amassed 8 rbi's in the game. On the year Sneddon is batting .625 which is tied for 2nd in the Nation with 18 rbi's which ties teammate Kristen Cosgrove for 6th in the Nation. Also Freshman Emily Auletto has 15 rbi's which is tied for 13th in the Nation! The Lady Cougars are currently 7-5 overall.
The Team will open up Region XIX play this Saturday at Home as the face the Bulldogs of Bergen CC in a doubleheader with a start time of noon!
