Lady Cougars Prevail in Battle of Nationally Ranked!

On Thursday night the Lady Cougars who are the #15 Nationally Ranked school traveled to Northampton CC who is currently receiving votes for National Rankings. It was a close game throughout and the Lady cougars trailed by 10 points during the 4th quarter. The Cougars showed why they are the #15 school in the Nation as they powered back throughout the 4th quarter and defeated Northampton by a score of 62-61. Freshman Leilani Franklin led the Cougars in scoring as she finished with 17 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Freshman Forward Jackelyn Duran recorded a double double in the game scoring 10 points and pulling down 13 rebounds. Sophomore Guard Alexys Kasprzak scored 16 points in the contest to go along with 4 rebounds and 3 assists. Tatiana Johnson scored 10 points to go along with 5 rebounds and 4 assists.

The Lady Cougars are back in action Saturday at home at noon as they look to avenge an early season controversial lose to the Jersey Blues of Brookdale Community College. Please remember that we are not permitting spectators at any home athletic events at this time.
