Five Wrestlers Qualify For The National Stage

Blackwood, NJ- Camden County College Wrestling traveled to Lackawanna College this past Saturday to compete in the 2024 NJCAA Gulf Atlantic District Tournament. Four Cougars made it to the final round, the most of any other participating team. Appearing in the tournament were wrestlers from Union College, Sussex County CC, RCSJ- Gloucester, Garrett College, etc.


Yasin Carter (125 lbs), Kyle Pickard (133lbs), Thomas Kaliamouris(149 lbs), Nick Faldetta (157lbs) each placed 2nd at the tournament in their prospective weight classes. Will Chrystler (174 lbs) also placed 4th in the tournament. All five wrestlers will move on to compete at Nationals. Head Coach Chillem added, "We look forward to competing on the national stage!"


Cougars will be back on the mat March 1-2 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to compete in the National Tournament.
